Dr Mercer Boley Cornel Wilde Diana Boley Jennifer Salt Mrs Parks Grayson. Props to the director and production staff! One of the two best movies of the 70's. The entire film was shot for spare change in the Arizona desert with a single camera. I think this movie beats out most of the hack and slash films of the 80's. A must see for any horror/supernatural enthusiast. This movie has a great story as well as a great back story (intro),Gargoyles waking up every 600 years. Will they survive the attack of the Gargoyles. They enlist the help of some "Dirt Bikers" including Glen a long with local authorities. From that point on scary things begin to happen.
When skeletal remains of a mythical nature are discovered in the desert, an old timer calls in a well known college professor (Wilde) who brings along his daughter (Salt) as an assistant. I even got a kick out of old "Uncle Willy". Veteran actor Cornel Wilde and up and coming Jennifer Salt and Scott Glenn were great. Great job Stan Winston ! The other characters were believable. Bernie Casey scared the hell out of me as the leader of Nothing at that time was being made especially for TV like this. As a young kid into "Creature Features", I was blown away. The first time I saw this was back in the late 70's. Gargoyles - Best TV Movie of the 70's (Horror) !
